ナポレオンの初期からの側近で砲兵の専門家、のちにフランス元帥。マレンゴ終盤、残存火砲をかき集めて約18〜20門の集中砲列を組み、前進する敵縦隊に至近距離の砲撃を浴びせて反攻の起点を作った。
